TEACHER'S PET

My CAD collection, Teachers Pet was designed with Lectra Kaledo and Adobe Illustrator. For inspiration, I did research on Generation Z and created this collection specifically for young women of ages 14-19. From my trend research, I collected images and formulated a color palette for the Spring 2018 season. I found that pastels and plaid pattens are particularly popular for young women of this age group. I simulated my own plaid patterns in my color palette through Kaledo Weave software. The pattern I chose to make was the plaid wrap-around skirt, which I achieved through Gerber Patternmaking software and the cutting machinery provided by the Wilson College of Textiles. At the bottom of this page, I have included digital copies of my Gerber pattern pieces.
