AFTER PARTY

For my senior collection, I upcycled vintage table linens and various home textiles that have been used and loved for decades and may be deemed no longer useful to the owner. Throughout the first half of my senior year, I collected pieces from women in my family, friends, and other members of the Raleigh community. My plan was to not only repurpose these textiles in a sustainable effort, but to also restore their beauty, historical and sentimental value. Most of my pieces vary in shades of ivory and incorporate embroidery and prints of organic, soft shapes such as flowers, leaves and animals. This collection would not be possible without the help of the women who not only donated textiles, but have supported me tremendously along the way and I am honored to

incorporate them into my designs.

The COVID-19 outbreak caused me to withstand numerous changes to my final semester at the Wilson College of Textiles. The second half of my collection was finished from my home while social distancing. Therefore, I lost access to certain resources, machinery and a proper studio space. This challenge did not stop me from completing all six of my intended looks.

LOOKS 1 & 2

JANE & MOLLIE

These two pieces are the first looks in my collection. I was fortunate enough to participate in this photoshoot at the Wilson College of Textiles just weeks before the COVID-19 changes were facilitated.

LOOK 3

KATE

My third look is the last piece that was created in my studio space. Due to COVID-19, I was unable to meet with this model again after this final fitting to organize a photoshoot. Therefore, this look is the only one that is not professionally photographed.

AMY, GINGER & PAM

The second half of my collection was created in my impromptu home studio while in quarantine for the rest of my senior year. These last three looks are modeled by me, my mother and my sister.
